Hello there! My name is Chuna. I am a mother of 3 grown-ups, and a grandmother to 1 beautiful girl. Looking forward to more grandchildren in the very near future. I love to talk about food, fitness, fads and fashion. I also love to eat and talk about nutrition and dieting; have limited time for exercise but love to talk about health and fitness; critical of people’s outfit but feel amazed at the creativity and artistry of people from all walks of life. I enjoy observing and talking about the latest fads. Glad to welcome you to my website and let us enjoy chatting just about anything related to food, fitness, fads, fashion and many other Fs in life.
God bless you,
Chuna
MY STORY
I grew up in a family full of love, life, and laughter. Our parents were both disciplinarians but they saw to it that their strict rules did not suppress our freedom to express our minds and emotions. They always involved us in any kind of discussions. They would tell us stories, most often from my father’s vast collection of literature, poetry, arts, music, mythology, folklore, and legends. We were always encouraged to voice our opinions and ask any questions no matter if it is silly, stupid, or intelligent. There were also many a time when we had visitors, which were too frequent, that my parents would let us listen to their adult conversations. Discipline and respect of other person’s rights were clearly communicated and taught to us early on. This upbringing left positive impact on our lives that helped us face life’s twists and turns with confidence and optimism after they left us.
I still vividly remember those sweet memories of my childhood home. My parents both hail from the highlands of the Cordillera Region, of Northern Luzon, in the Philippines. I am ever proud to say that I belong to an indigenous tribe called Igorots. To give a wider introduction of Cordillera, also politically recognized as Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), let me introduce the six provinces that comprise it – Benguet Province (this is where Baguio City, the Summer Capital of the Philippines, is situated); Kalinga Province (this is where the famous and oldest Filipino tattoo artist Whang-od lives); Apayao Province; Abra Province; Ifugao Province (this is where the Eighth Wonder of the World “Banaue Rice Terraces” is located); Mountain Province (this is where the “hanging coffins” of Sagada can be found). It is in Mountain Province that I was born and raised, in a tiny village called Lias, within the municipality of Barlig. I lost both my parents to heart ailments while I was in 6th Grade, at age 11. I am the second among seven children.
I will be telling more of my life in the next blogs. For now, I’d love to tour you to my birthplace. Just Google-search for: Lias, Barlig, Mountain Province; Baguio City; Hanging Coffins of Sagada; Banaue Rice Terraces; Natonin, Mountain Province. I hope you like what you will see in these searches. And I pray you will look forward to more of my stories.
God bless you and happy reading,
Chuna

WHY I WANT TO HELP PEOPLE
Being an orphan at a very young age is not always sad to tell. It also has its beauty and a lot of wisdom in it. My father was an artist. Not many of his artworks were preserved, but few still hang in university libraries and homes of friends and relatives. His and my mother’s lives impacted mine so gracefully, that I grew up to be observant, sensitive, and thoughtful of everything around and everyone in my circle.
I so desire to help people who are victims of bullying or discrimination due to eating habits, body size, physical looks, culture, race, skin color, religion, gender, and the like. This desire within me to help, sprang up from many experiences in my life and other people’s during the difficult times after I lost my parents, until now. Time has not changed at all. Even now as I am away from home and residing in another country (Saudi Arabia) as a foreign worker, I have witnessed so many discrimination and bullying of many sorts – all related to food, fitness, fads, and fashion. Hence, this website.
May I invite you to read my blogs which will mainly cover stories and observations about wholesome daily living which is basically about Food, Fitness, Fads, and Fashion. There will be many Fs to talk about as we meet in the next blogs, among others are Faith, Friendship, Finances.
Have a great day,
Chuna
