Probiotics are living microorganisms - and they require tender loving care to keep healthy. The probiotics in this package have happily lived their entire lives in a specially constructed ecosystem that is kept very cool and very dry. As a matter of fact, just before they were carefully placed in this box, they were "chilling" at about 2'C. Metagenics care a lot about the well-being of these microscopic bugs. They have performed tests and they're tough! The microscopic bugs will happily survive some pretty extreme temperatures on their journey to you - anything below 50'C for a few days is perfectly fine.
If your probiotics made it into your hands within a few days of leaving their home with us, you can rest assured your bugs are happy, healthy, and ready to work for you. Upon receipt, please keep these precious bugs stored as indicated on their bottle.
